Redcar Athletic recorded their fourth successive victory on Saturday, having returned home from their longest trip of the season with a valuable three points.
Gary Forster’s side made the two hour commute over the Pennines to face Carlisle City, and goals from in-form duo Craig Hutchinson and Donny Holdsworth were enough to seal the comeback win after the home side took the lead in controversial fashion.
The Steelmen are currently in their highest ever position in the Ebac Northern League Division 1 and are just one result away from reaching their record points total.
Previous wins saw Athletic defeat Seaham Red Star 3-2 at Green Lane before dismantling Sunderland RCA 6-0 and following that up with a well fought 2-1 victory over high flying Bishop Auckland.
They’ll be on their travels again on Saturday to face Crook Town, and will be looking to make it a five-star run of form.
