Redcar’s development has taken another positive step in the right direction with construction for an 18-hole adventure golf course set to finish this spring.

The golf course, called “Frosty Penguins’ Putting Adventure” – a nod to the iconic penguin colony on the seafront walkway, will neighbour a nautical themed play area.

The eastern side of Majuba Car Park will be remodelled to suit the new modern look, with grassed areas, landscaping and lighting.

An exciting place for families to enjoy as we approach the summer months, the project has been funded by the “Welcome to” Fund, which is administered by Tees Valley Combined Authority and Redcar Town Deal funding which was granted by the Government.

Cllr Chris Gallacher, Cabinet Member for Economic Growth at Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, said:

“These exciting plans will transform the seafront into a family destination for activities and provide a wonderful area where families can spend some quality time together.

“I’m pleased that progress is being made and residents will soon see a significant improvement to the area, which, with our stunning coastline, and it being so close to the town centre, will become a great place to visit.”
