Crown your standout star from the Steelmen’s opening two games.
Two games, six points, eight goals scored and none conceded: a successful opening stint for Redcar Athletic, but there can be only one Player of the Month.
We’ve picked out four of the best from our opening two games, and now it’s up to you to crown July’s greatest.
Option A
BRADLEY FEWSTER
Little needs to be said for our first contender.
Netting four goals in two games, Bradley Fewster soared to the top of the Northern League scoring charts.
The forward’s tidy quartet includes a well-taken spot kick, a delightful finish from an Olly Cann long ball, and an exquisite lob against West Auckland Town.
Option B
MARK ANDERSON
The man to open the Steelmen’s account for the season, Mark Anderson set the tempo from midfield in our opening games.
A goal and an assist to his name in July, ‘Sparky’ lead the side in key passes, creating a number of chances, and enabling his teammates in the attacking third.
Chay Liddle comes a close second for our midfield nomination, but misses out to Mark’s free-kick brilliance.
Option C
NATHAN GURU
Any of that back four could have scooped a nomination for Player of the Month, but we’ve gone for our reigning Player of the Season, Nathan Guru.
Sharp, steadfast and reliable, Guru championed two successive clean sheets from the heart of defence, leading the side in interceptions, and certainly not afraid to lunge in to a challenge.
Option D
JOSH MAZFARI
Two clean sheets, we couldn’t not give the nod to our shot-stopper in chief, Josh Mazfari.
The young number one made a number of saves against a pair of top teams, leaving both asking for more come the final whistle.
