We took a look at Boro Rangers in our latest instalment of ‘The Lowdown.’
Redcar Athletic this afternoon welcome Boro Rangers to Green Lane in perhaps the biggest match ever to grace the hallowed turf, with top spot on offer for the victor.

WHO ARE YA?
Boro Rangers
Formed in 2003, Boro Rangers have contested the senior footballing pyramid for as little as ten years.
In such time, the club have known nothing but success, seven straight North Riding Premier League titles brought to an end by a fairytale promotion, and a double one at that.
Division Two proved the briefest of stops for the Middlesbrough outfit. Rangers topped the league at the first time of asking, defeating title rivals Horden CW on the final day of the season to lift the coveted trophy.

Now plying their trade in Division One, the club last year opened the doors to their new home on Lacy Road during the month of October.
The ground boasts a £500’000, state-of-the-art 3G pitch, and also houses the well-esteemed T6 Academy, in which Steelmen coach Dave McTiernan is involved.
DID YOU KNOW: Now relocated to Phoenix Park, the ground is the first to host Northern League football in Middlesbrough for over 100 years.
CURRENT FORM

It’s been a miraculous start to the season for both Redcar Athletic and Boro Rangers, but the Middlesbrough outfit do hold the edge by virtue of an extra point – and having played a game less.
Top scorers in the division, and by some way, Boro have decimated each and every opponent they have come up against, Stuart Rose in sensational form as he continues to rack up his tally towards the 30s.

Just a point between the two Teesside rivals, Redcar were presented a chance to go top on Tuesday night, but one unfortunately passed up in a frustrating draw with Birtley Town.
BORO RANGERS 2-2 REDCAR ATHLETIC
A Boxing Day spectacular. Goals from Donny Holdsworth, Lewis Ritson, and Boro’s Danny Lofts made for an enticing festive affair.
