The Steelmen will visit Derby County’s Moor Farm training ground to wrap up their pre-season preparations.

The weekend long camp will see Gary Forster’s squad welcome to the top class facilities around the complex, before concluding with a friendly against Stocksbridge Park Steels Reserves.

Redcar are due to travel to the category one training ground on Friday 21st July, offering a first-rate opportunity for final preparations ahead of the new season.

Athletic’s fourth and penultimate friendly against the Steels’ reserves will also take place at Moor Farm, kicking off at 11am on the Saturday morning.

Steelmen boss Gary Forster expressed his delight at the opportunity, applauding the trip as another example of the club’s ambitions.

“To have the opportunity to get the lads away in world-class facilities is just another reason showing the direction of travel of this club.

“It will be a tough, but enjoyable, few days and we are really thankful for everyone at Derby for letting us come down.”

The trip comes after our club partner Host and Stay were unveiled as a Premium Partner of the Ram’s, with their logo set to be plastered across their new strip for this season.

Following their return, Athletic will wrap up their pre-season calendar, as National League outfit Hartlepool United visit Green Lane.

Spectators are welcome to join the Steelmen for the camp, and those interested should email ryan.mcknight@redcarathletic.co.uk for further details.
