A double from Tom Lane helped Redcar Athletic Under-23s record a 4-1 victory over Eston Labour Club on Saturday.

Redcar Athletic Under-23s made it four wins from their first five league games following a 4-1 victory over Eston Labour Club, in which striker Tom Lane grabbed a brace.

The Steelmen took the lead on 7 minutes when Jack Williams pulled the ball back to Tom Lane who finished with ease.

The lead was then doubled on 52 minutes when Charlie Longster, sponsored by Brendon Garage, scored a sublime solo goal, beating five players before slotting the ball into the far corner.

Eston Labour Club pulled a goal back with 20 minutes left but the two goal advantage was restored on 76 minutes when a great team moved was finished off by Jack Williams.

The game was wrapped up with 4 minutes left to play when Tom Lane raced into the box and beat the keeper at the near post with a fine finish.
