Crown your standout star from the month of August.
Nine games, 17 points and 22 goals, there was lots to celebrate for the Steelmen in August, and many a standout star.
We’ve picked four of the best from the month as a whole, and now it’s up to you to crown the greatest.
Option A
DANNI LAY
An absolute rock at the back. We could stop there.
Danni played every minute in the month of August – until suffering a first half injury at Gateway Park on Saturday – complimenting his stellar defensive work with a dramatic late winner, and an assist.
Option B
OSCAR FLETCHER
The bright spark of Redcar’s midfield, August was filled with plenty of success for one former England star, Oscar Fletcher.
The young playmaker made a goal scoring turn, finding the net four times – albeit three, with a debatable fourth – laying on a further assist against West Allotment Celtic.
Option C
JOE TAYLOR
One of Redcar’s most influential, Joe Taylor made quite the impact when called upon from the bench.
The midfielder produced a sensational free kick to level the affair at Shildon’s Dean Street, rolling home an insurance goal against Seaham Red Star, and winning the decisive spot kick at Gateway Park.
Option D
ADAM BOYES
Our 22 goals were shared amongst the squad this month, but Adam Boyes lead the way with a well taken quartet.
The forward netted in three consecutive games at the start of the month, missing the last two through injury.
