The defender becomes the seventh to put pen to paper for the 2024/25 season.
A trialist no more, Redcar Athletic are thrilled to confirm the permanent signing of promising young right back, Olly Cann.
The 20-year-old linked up with Carl Jarrett’s squad for the start of pre-season preparations in June, now penning a deal as Carl Jarrett’s seventh addition of a busy summer.
Originally of Billingham Town, Olly boasts an impressive CV at just 20 years of age, donning the colours of both Middlesbrough and Hartlepool United during his younger years.
Continuing his journey into the local non-league system, Olly joined local rivals Guisborough Town in 2022, returning to Bedford Terrace earlier this year to see out the season.
Invited to train with the Steelmen at the start of pre-season preparations in June, Olly made the starting eleven as a trialist on three occasions, most notably in a Green Lane return against Whitby Town this Saturday.
On finally turning his trial into a permanent deal, Olly admitted he was thrilled, telling Head of Media Ash Stone he was raring to go, and ready to win.
