The young fullback became summer signing number seven.
Passionate, energetic, and full of the desire to win, Olly Cann put pen to paper as the seventh new addition of the summer for Redcar Athletic.
Joining the squad as a trialist when pre-season preparations began, the 20-year-old spoke to Head of Media Ash Stone about his desire to prove himself to the fans, and his ambitions for the season ahead.

Beginning his non-league career at the Young age of 16, Olly still boasts a rather impressive CV, naming the likes of Middlesbrough, Hartlepool United, and local rivals Guisborough Town.
Linking up the Steelmen as a trialist in June, the young fullback was delighted to finally sign on permanent terms, telling Ash Stone that the club shared his desire to not only win matches, but trophies too.
“It’s a very ambitious club.” He said. “The club wants to win, and I want to be apart of that.”
“I’ve only been here a few weeks now, but you can feel that everyone wants the same thing. It’s a great feeling.
“It felt like I knew all the lads and staff before. Everyone was so welcoming. It was a great feeling for myself coming into the club.”
Another fresh face for the Redcar faithful, Olly described himself as passionate and energetic, offering his excitement to don the red and navy, and to fight for the fans.
“I’m a young, energetic player,” he told Ash Stone. “I love getting up and down the line.”
“I’d say I’m very passionate. I want to win every game.
“Like all the lads, I want to win the league. Also, to go as far as we can in the cup competitions, and hopefully get a hold of one.
“With this team, and the management, it’s more than possible.
“I can’t wait for the season now, and the first game at Green Lane in front of the fans.”
