Join the Steelmen on the Redcar seafront this Non League Day.
This Saturday, in the midst of an international break, Non League Day returns to the terraces around the UK.
With Middlesbrough on a short hiatus, and Newcastle and Sunderland likewise, the time is now to dip your toes in the blessed waters of non-league football, and support the beating heart of the beautiful game.
Tomorrow afternoon, Redcar Athletic are calling on fans of the professional sport to swap colosal stadiums and untouchable superstars for the humble terraces, and share a pint with some of the players after the game.

If you are unfamiliar with ourselves, we are Redcar Athletic, also known as the Steelmen.
We ply our trade in the Northern League Division One, step five of the English non-league system, with our home base the ever-growing Green Lane, sat atop the Redcar seafront.
Tomorrow afternoon, playoff chasing Carlisle City are the visitors, searching to regain ground on the elusive top six.
For ourselves, even just one place behind, such is out of the question after a torrid start to the season, but with form very much onside, a promotion push is inevitable come next campaign.
Under the guise of Carl Jarrett, the man behind Marske United’s success, the Steelmen are six games unbeaten, vying for a sixth successive win on the comfort of home soil.
We would very much appreciate any support from fans of Michael Carrick’s men, and those simply searching for a football fix to mark the annual Non League Day.
Your support would be more than appreciated at Green Lane.
