From thrilling Northern League football to supporting UK steel, here's what to expect at Green Lane as the Steelmen host Whickham.

Another weekend, another home game. Something Ash Stone will be writing a lot during the month of March.

Gateshead outfit Whickham visit the Redcar seafront as the first of six to make the journey this month, with plenty to supplement the matchday experience.

From a parade in support of Unite the Union’s ‘Support UK Steel’ campaign, to the usual mouth-watering barbecued offerings of Smokin’ Joes’, here’s everything to enjoy at Green Lane on matchday number 25.

'Support UK Steel'

Unite the Union are bringing their national ‘Support UK Steel’ campaign to the terraces of Green Lane this weekend, with plenty planned in cahoots with the Redcar community.

Whilst the Steelmen will don commemorative shirts of the occasion during the pre-match warm-up, a parade in support of the campaign will be held at halftime. A petition will also be available to sign your name to the cause.

Smokin' Joe's

Nationally acclaimed on the hit ‘Twitter/X’ account, FootyScran, Smokin’ Joe’s take pride of place in the FanZone to serve up their tasty pop-up barbecue.

From the viral ‘Hot Dogg,’ to delicious burgers, and mouth-watering sides, treat your taste buds to the very finest of matchday cuisine.

The Steelmen's Bar

Maybe a pre-match pint is more your style?

Don’t fret, The Steelmen’s Bar will be open from 1:30pm, ready to serve up refreshing pints, broadcast sporting action, and set the scene for a thrilling afternoon of the beautiful game.

Please note, the bar is operating as a CARD ONLY venue. 

Live Music

Live sport isn’t all that’s on offer in The Steelmen’s Bar, as local guitarist and singer Jacob Diaz-Wright takes to the mic.

Jacob will set the scene for the afternoon, providing the tunes both before the match, and during the halftime interval.
