A plea from our Acting Chairman: Kevin Fryett

Acting Chairman Kevin Fryett pens an address to supporters.

“Everyone at Redcar Athletic Football Club has been on a rollercoaster ride since the previous Chairman left.

“Whilst there are still many tough decisions to make, the club has bounced back and the B&D Interiors Stadium is a bouncing, thriving place again.

“The players have responded unbelievably, going on a fantastic run. Nine games unbeaten, 29 goals scored and only one conceded.

“Our plan is to give the club back to the fans, and shortly details will be revealed on our plans to make Football Club ownership available and affordable for all of our supporters.

“In the meantime, we have eight games left in the league. We currently sit top, ten points clear, and promotion to the Northern Premier League East is definitely in our sights.

“That’s something I could never have dreamt of 22 years ago when first starting a senior team at Redcar Athletic!

“We want to showcase the team, the town and the Northern League this Saturday at our home game against Tow Law Town.

“I want to make a plea to the people of Redcar to come along and sample the fantastic atmosphere, and the excellent facilities we have on offer.

“We have an excellent bar with live acts on at half time and after the game, great food from our catering van and we are playing some brilliant football. What more would you want?
