From viral food offerings to musical entertainment, here's what to expect at Green Lane this afternoon.
The cosy ground on the Redcar seafront opens its doors for the first time in 2024, and whilst much has changed on the pitch, the same eccentric experience awaits around the terraces.
As Carl Jarrett leads a cacophony of new – but certainly familiar – faces onto the hallowed turf, Green Lane gears up to host a bumper crowd, with plenty to compliment the matchday experience.
Featuring top-quality local music, hearty beverages and a halftime penalty shootout to name just a few, here’s what’s in store this afternoon, as the Steelmen take on West Allotment Celtic.
Smokin' Joe's
Nationally acclaimed on the hit ‘Twitter/X’ account, FootyScran, Smokin’ Joe’s take pride of place in the FanZone to serve up their tasty pop-up barbecue.
From the viral ‘Hot Dogg,’ to delicious burgers, and mouth-watering sides, treat your taste buds to the very finest of matchday food offerings.
The Steelmen's Bar
Maybe a pre-match pint is more your style?
Don’t fret, The Steelmen’s Bar will be open from 1:30pm, ready to serve up refreshing pints, broadcast sporting action, and set the scene for a thrilling afternoon of the beautiful game.
Please note, the bar is operating as a CARD ONLY venue.
Live Music
Live sport isn’t all that’s on offer in The Steelmen’s Bar, as local guitarist and singer Jacob Diaz-Wright takes to the mic.
Jacob will be providing the matchday tunes before and after the match, with a quick performance during the half time break too.
Make sure to show him some love!
St Bede's Catholic Primary School
Please be sure to give a huge Green Lane welcome to children from St Bede’s Catholic Primary School, who will be our mascots escorting the team onto the pitch this afternoon.
The children will then partake in a halftime penalty shootout at the Beach End, and would of course appreciate your support.
