FR Safety and Training offered a FREE first aid course to juniors after the 11-year-old’s heroics.
Redcar Athletic would like to commend the actions of Under12s player, Theodore, who showed calmness and bravery beyond his years when putting first aid training into practice in his own home.
The 11-year-old reacted in a way most adults could not when his father suffered a seizure, highlighting the importance of learning such valuable life skills for children and adults alike.
Theodore was able to compose his family, put his father in the recovery position and ask for assistance in obtaining the local defibrillator, actions which the club see as truly heroic.
The 11-year-old learnt first aid skills at New Marske Primary School, leading the club to offer such a course to its junior players with thanks to FR Safety and Training.
Redcar Athletic would like to place on record our admiration of young Theodore, and nominate him for a Pride of Britain award.
