MONDAY

Regrettably, due to heavy rainfall, our weekly Weetabix Wildcats and Squad Girls sessions have been cancelled.

TUESDAY

Thornaby vs Redcar Athletic | Teesdale Park, TS17 7JU | 7:30pm

Redcar Athletic’s pre-season preparations continue on the road to Thornaby this Tuesday, the Division Two outfit the fifth test for Carl Jarrett’s men in a busy July.

The Steelmen produced a spell-binding performance on Saturday to stun Whitby Town – former Seasider Bradley Fewster netting a hat-trick – the boss now hoping to share minutes around his squad in preparation for a lengthy campaign.  

The pre-season friendly takes place at Thornaby’s Teesdale Park, set to get underway at 7:30pm.

THURSDAY

Team Talk Bacon Butty Mornings | Green Lane TS10 3RW | 10am-12pm

Team Talk is a wonderful, community group that aims to bring people together to tackle loneliness and isolation.

Each week, the clubhouse at Green Lane hosts a small gathering wanting to enjoy each other’s company, have meaningful conversations, and take part in fun activities.

The morning is headlined by delicious bacon buns, and other refreshments, leading into physical activities like beach walks, walking football, boules, or even a quiz on rainy days.

Gary Walton of MFC Foundation, the event organiser, commented: “It’s a great way to connect with others, stay active, and have a good time.”

FRIDAY

Steel and Iron Cup, Heritage Day | Green Lane, TS10 3RW | 3pm

This week, Redcar Athletic and Land of Iron have teamed up, with support from the Tees Valley Combined Authority, to bring you the inaugural Steel and Iron Cup.

Due to take place across two days, Friday 19th July into Saturday 20th, the event begins with a Steel and Iron Heritage Day here at Green Lane, befit with stalls, music, Land of Iron’s Mine on the Move, and lots of fun activities for all the family to enjoy.

From 7pm, attention turns to a discussion with industry experts on the impact of steel and iron making here on Teesside: how our industry helped build the infrastructure of the world, and what the future might hold.

Admission into the ground for our Steel and Iron Heritage Day is FREE, so please do come along and celebrate our shared history.

SATURDAY

Steel and Iron Cup, Redcar Athletic vs Holker Old Boys | Green Lane, TS10 3RW | 3pm

As Saturday comes, so does the football, the inaugural Steel and Iron Cup to be decided between Redcar Athletic, and Barrow-in-Furness’s Holker Old Boys.

Open from 12pm, the action begins at 3pm, with stalls and live entertainment once again building the atmosphere here at Green Lane.

The Steelmen’s last pre-season outing before the Northern League season begins, we hope you’ll join us to celebrate our steel-making heritage, and send the lads off into what we hope is a successful campaign.
