All the important information as the Steelmen return to action against Redcar Town.

Football is finally back on the Redcar seafront this Saturday, as we kick-off our pre-season campaign against our neighbours and local rivals, Redcar Town.

Always a popular fixture, this year, we’re raising money in memory of the late Matty Graham, with bouncy castles, live music and more to enjoy on the day.

MATTY GRAHAM MEMORIAL CUP

Described as both caring and inspirational, Matthew Graham represented our Reserves during the tenure of Gareth Maiden. He moved on to play for Redcar Town shortly before his untimely passing.

Both Redcar Athletic and our rivals at Town wish to honour his memory by raising money for a charity of the family’s choosing, with a fantastic afternoon planned to complement the action on the field.

There will be bouncy castles, live music, face painting and more, with entry simply a donation of your choosing at the turnstile.

ADMISSION

There will be no designated charge for this fixture. Instead, it will be ‘pay-what-you-want’ at the turnstile, with all proceeds going to charity.

Please note: Season Tickets will not be valid for this fixture.

PARKING

As always, the club would like to urge supporters to park both legally and responsibly in designated car parks in the vicinity of the Hollou Sports Stadium.

Please respect our neighbours, and help to keep disruption to a minimum with no street parking.

THE STEELMEN’S BAR

Our popular micro-bar will be open as usual for supporters to enjoy a drink during our long-awaited return to action.

The Can Bar will also be open before and during the match.

WEATHER FORECAST

Good news, Steelmen, our return to action this summer looks to be in better conditions than our last!

Temperatures will reach 20° on Saturday afternoon, with no rain expected. It will be partly cloudy, and as it’s Green Lane, you can expect a little bit of wind too.

From gorgeous hotdogs to tasty pizzas, matchday isn’t complete without a trip to the horsebox to eat with Saucy Sammies.

You can find them towards the bottom of our fanzone, just past the Steelmen’s Bar.

By the Sea will return for the new season next Thursday, as we welcome a Middlesbrough XI to the Hollou Sports Stadium.
