The 27-year-old becomes the ninth addition of Redcar Athletic’s summer.
Carl Jarrett’s squad-building for the 2024/25 season continues with the addition of experienced midfielder, Joe Taylor.
The 27-year-old becomes the ninth to commit to the club over the summer transfer window, offering the necessary strength in depth to the midfield.
A prodigy at Middlesbrough FC in his youth, Joe Taylor’s senior career started just a stone’s throw away in Stockton, the midfielder representing both the Anchors and Billingham Synthonia before receiving an offer to study stateside.
Joe featured for Carson Newman University whilst studying Sport Science on the college campus, returning home to Stockton Town in 2018 after a successful three year stay.
Certainly well travelled, the 27-year-old now brings a wealth of experience to Redcar Athletic, his reliable presence a key asset to Carl Jarrett amidst an injury crisis in midfield.
The boss held Joe in high esteem when quizzed about his impact on the squad, offering Ash Stone his assurances that he would play a key role over the course of the season.
“Joe Taylor is a lad I have known for years.” Carl Jarrett said.
“I know he can step up to this level with ease.
“He’s very fit, and a good midfielder. It’s somewhere we needed to strengthen, and I’m sure he will be a big part of the squad.”
It’s good to have you with us, Joe.
