A statistical look at our Supporters’ Player of the Season for 2024/25.

With a fantastic 20 goals and 17 assists to his name, Oscar Fletcher has been at the heart of Redcar’s success since putting pen to paper for the second time last June.

Crowned Supporters’ Player of the Season after our final home game against Blyth Town, we took a look at some of the best stats from his record-best campaign.

Signed on loan during the tenure of Gary Forster, Oscar Fletcher was a popular figure before his departure for West Auckland Town. It certainly caused a stir when he announced his return.

The midfielder made 48 appearances under the watchful eye of Carl Jarrett, which takes his club tally to 74. This makes him the second most capped player on the books at Redcar Athletic, behind Nathan Guru.

Oscar featured in 92.4% of all games during the course of the season, once coming off the bench, and missing only four games. Only Josh Mazfari and Nathan Guru played more.

SUPPORTERS' PLAYER OF THE SEASON

Oscar Fletcher was crowned Supporters’ Player of the Season in a public vote.

During such time, the midfielder made 37 goal contributions – 20 goals and 17 assists. He was directly involved in 34.5% of all goals scored by Redcar Athletic in all competitions.

Those 17 assists were the most of any player within the squad, whilst he comes in as third top scorer behind Adam Boyes (23) and Bradley Fewster (30).

Oscar recorded both a hat-trick, and a hat-trick of assists this season, his first of each in his senior career. It was Penrith who suffered at the hands of his treble (5-0), whilst his playmaking talents were best on show on a dreary day against Whickham (4-0).

The midfielder scored twice and snatched two assists on his most prolific showing against Prudhoe Youth Club in the Isuzu FA Vase First Round Proper.
