The popular midfielder was crowned the best of the division’s young talent.
There was yet more success for Redcar Athletic at the Northern League’s annual awards on Friday evening, as Oscar Fletcher scooped the title of Young Player of the Season.
The midfielder joined Carl Jarrett in having his excellence over the course of our title-winning campaign recognised. The club were also awarded the division’s Fair Play Award.
A popular figure both in the dressing room and on the terraces, the award bestowed at Ramside Hall was Oscar’s third of the 2024/25 season.
The young starlet took home the same award at the Steelmen’s own annual presentation during the first week of May, having already been voted Supporters’ Player of the Season for his efforts during the campaign.
He netted a sensational 20 goals in 49 appearances, adding a further 17 assists to prove one of Redcar Athletic’s most valuable attacking talents.
JARRETT SCOOPS TOP AWARD
The Redcar boss was also recognised for his efforts during our title winning campaign.
Unable to attend the event, Oscar Fletcher took to X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate his award.
He said: “Very proud to have won Northern League Young Player of the Year, and to be part of this special team.”
Congratulations, Oscar. The recognised is well deserved.
