Chay Liddle becomes the latest doubt in a season marred by injury.
It’s no secret, Redcar Athletic have suffered a devastating number of injuries since the ascension of Carl Jarrett in January.
From Adam Wheatley’s long-term absence, to a decimation of the midfield, the boss has long since had a full squad to pick from, and as players begin to return to the fold, others drop out to the sidelines.
On Saturday afternoon, Anthony Bell and Mark Anderson made their full returns to the first team squad, as Chay Liddle missed the trip due to a knock.
Adam Wheatley and Liam O’Sullivan both remain on the sidelines, each unlikely to feature again in the current campaign, whilst Danny Boyle returns to the grass, but remains weeks off match fitness.
Frustrated by such a continuous ordeal, Jarrett conceded that the struggle to field a settled side made amassing momentum a near impossibility.
“Fingers crossed I can have a couple of bodies back in on Tuesday.” The boss said.
“As you can see, we’ve been depleted again.
“It’s been very frustrating since I’ve come in. We’ve had lads missing, constantly.
“Injuries, bookings, sending offs. It’s just been very hard really to get a settled squad.
“Like I’ve said before, we are building for next season, but it just frustrates the life out of me as a manager.”
