Redcar Athletic are delighted to confirm the signing of young midfielder, Jack Harrison.

Jack linked up with Gary Forster’s squad in training over the past few weeks, but finally puts pen to paper to step up into the first team.

The energetic midfielder featured a number of times in the Northern League last season with Birtley Town, whilst on dual registration with Northern Premier League East side, Consett.

Harrison becomes the Steelmen’s third mid-season addition, joining Middlesbrough loanee Nathan Fisher, and his fellow shot-stopper, Decklan Greenwood, as Jamie Owens and Lyndon Ferguson depart for new challenges.

Gary Forster was pleased to bring the young midfielder onboard, declaring Jack as one for the future.

“Jack has came to me strongly recommended,” the boss said, “we had him in for a few training sessions, and his desire to be at the club, plus his technical ability, was plain to see.

“He’s definitely a work in progress for us, but we’re excited to see what he is going to bring to our group.”

Jack will be straight into Gary Forster’s squad for tomorrow afternoon’s Isuzu FA Vase clash against Esh Winning, for which travel is still available.
