The talented winger becomes the latest addition under the reign of Carl Jarrett.
Redcar Athletic are excited to confirm the acquisition of skilled forward, Jack Blackford.
The 25-year-old links up with former boss Carl Jarrett from Northern Premier League East outfit, Newton Aycliffe.
Brewed in the academy at Hartlepool United, Jack boasts experience at many different facets of British football.
Having made two senior appearances for Pools, Jack was included in a pre-season squad by Scottish giants, Rangers, before earning subsequent trials at Manchester City, West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa.
The intuitive winger soon donned the red and white of Shildon on a work experience loan, opting away from professional football and signing on permanent terms.
Since, Jack has developed a thorough understanding of the Northern League, starring at Guisborough Town on loan from Marske United, before making the move official in the summer of 2022.
Joining the Steelmen from Northern Premier League East side, Newton Aycliffe, Jack expressed his elation at being a part of an ambitious project here at Green Lane.
“I’m really happy to join Redcar,” the 25-year-old admitted, “having worked with Carl and Macca before, it was something I was excited to get to do again.
“I’ve played with many of the lads here and they know me well.
“I think the aspirations for the club can be seen by the signings that have been made, and I’m glad to be apart of what’s to come.
“I’m looking forward to my first game already.”
Previously on the books at Marske United, Carl Jarrett is more than familiar with his newest recruit.
On snapping up the services of the talented forward, the Redcar boss added: “Jack is a very good player, at this level and above.
“Having worked with Jack before, I know how to get the best out of him.
“He’s a great addition to a strong squad.”
All involved at Redcar Athletic would like to offer a warm welcome to Jack Blackford, and wish him the very best during his time in red and navy.
Welcome onboard, Jack.
