The Steelmen’s top-scorer left the field of play inside quarter of an hour.
Redcar Athletic First Team Coach Lee Bullock labelled Bradley Fewster’s early departure from play against West Allotment Celtic as ‘precautionary.’
The forward was forced onto the sidelines after ten minutes at East Palmersville, Jack Blackford taking to the field in his place for the remainder of the evening.
Goals from Mark Anderson, Adam Boyes, Curtis Round and Oscar Fletcher put the ten men of West Allotment Celtic to the sword on Tuesday evening, an emphatic win somewhat marred by concern over the fitness of Bradley Fewster.
The Steelmen’s top scorer suffered an off-the-ball injury in the opening quarter of an hour, Lee Bullock quick to ease the nerves of supporters with news of his quick return.
“I’ve known Brad a long time, and I’ve seen him unfortunately have a few of these injuries.” He said.
“He knows himself. As soon as it happens, you can see he sits himself down, and he usually catches it pretty early.
“He’s very precautionary. There is an injury there, but hopefully, the way he conducts himself, it’ll be a lot less than it could’ve been if he tried to battle through it.
“I’m no physio, I have no idea, but I imagine he’ll be out Saturday, but not too much longer.”
