The former Middlesbrough duo made for an entertaining evening in The Steelmen’s Bar.
A packed out Steelmen’s Bar welcomed the former Middlesbrough duo of Craig Hignett and David Wheater on Thursday evening.
The local legends offered the inside scoop on some of the most famous moments in the careers, whilst guests were served a delicious bout of curry and chips.
The evening began with a discussion chaired by the club’s very own John Wilberforce, who quizzed the pair on their upbringing and Middlesbrough debuts.
Wheater laughed about his early purchases as a young talent, whilst Craig Hignett offered a breakdown of his one year excursion to Cyprus to play for Apollon Limassol, where he won the league.
Curry and chips preceded questions from audience, when the pair relaxed and faced quizzing on wrestling, their favourite teammates, and more, that we simply won’t divulge here.
Redcar Athletic would like to thank all for attending on Thursday evening, with a special thanks to David Wheater and Craig Hignett.
Thank you to the staff behind The Steelmen’s Bar for their wonderful work all evening.
