The former Middlesbrough defender will take part in a Q+A in the Steelmen’s Bar.
Redcar Athletic are pleased to confirm former professional footballer David Wheater will be a special guest at Green Lane on Friday evening, as the Steelmen take on Easington Colliery.
The former Middlesbrough man will take part in a ‘question and answer’ session prior to kick-off, leading a discussion with our Player of the Match after the full time whistle.
Born and raised in Redcar, David Wheater began his career in Middlesbrough’s academy, completing loan moves to Doncaster, Wolves and Darlington, before making 157 appearances in the red and white.
Wheater made the permanent switch to Bolton Wanderers in 2011, where he spent the majority of his career, last representing Darlington during the 2023/24 season.
Now retired, the 37-year-old will be a special guest at Green Lane during Friday night’s visit of Easington Colliery, taking part in a ‘question and answer’ session in our popular Steelmen’s Bar.
Admission into Green Lane will be priced at £7 for adults, £4 for concessions and just £2 for those under the age of 16.
Doors open at 6pm, with the Steelmen’s Bar following suit at 6:30pm.
