Redcar Athletic have today released the following statement.
Redcar Athletic FC can announce the departure of Chairman Dale Smith and Managing Director Ryan McKnight from the senior section of the club.
During their tenure, the sizeable investment from Dale has enabled the club to improve in respect to the calibre of playing staff, matchday and ground facilities, and equipment, and both have helped the club to continue to enhance the provision of a fantastic service to the local community.
The club would like to thank them both for their significant input and all their hard work and dedication.
Kev Fryett has been appointed as Interim Chairman, and a further announcement will follow when a new Board of Directors and Management Committee have been put in place.
There will also be opportunities for both businesses and individuals to be part of the new structure, and any interested parties should contact kevfryett@hotmail.com.
The club would like to thank our fans for their excellent support so far this season, and to reassure them that promotion to the ‘Pitching In Northern Premier League’ remains our number one priority for the rest of this season.
