The midfielder leaves after making more than 50 appearances.

Redcar Athletic can confirm that defensive stalwart Chay Liddle has left the club after more than 12 months at the club.

After joining from Hebburn Town back in February 2024, Chay made 54 total appearances for the Steelmen, including bagging a goal against Whitby Town.

Chay won players’ player of the season at the end of last season, as he made 46 appearances in the title-winning campaign.

As part of a stunning defence, Chay also helped the club earn 27 clean sheets in a truly spectacular season

Chairman Kev Fryett had a lot of positives to say about Chay, stating “Since joining us, Chay has given everything in a Redcar shirt.

Every time he stepped out on the pitch he brought committment, desire and positive energy and played a massive part in our promotion last season.

We would like to thank Chay for all of his efforts both on and off the pitch, and we wish him nothing but the best for the future.”

And from everyone at Redcar Athletic, thank you Chay!
