We are set to take on Bishop Auckland in our 6th league game in just a few days time.
How exactly do you follow on from a 10-1 win?
Hopefully, it is with another victory against Bishop Auckland on Tuesday night.
We travel west for a 7.45pm kick off at the Vest Construction Stadium with the aim of narrowing the gap at the top of the table.
Adam Boyes will be looking to add to his season tally, with the striker currently sitting just one goal short of 50 goals for Redcar Athletic.
Owen Burns could also continue a fairytale start at the club, with the midfielder already bagging a goal and two assists on his debut against Silsden
As of right now, we possess more than twice the goal difference of any other team in the league, with a tally of +16, compared to Bradford Park Avenue, Consett and Emley who all are sitting at a +7 (Emley do play today, but would also need to win by 9 to meet our GD).
As for our opponents, Bishop Auckland have had a frustrating few weeks, scoring 5 but conceding 10 as they face us with three defeats from three this month.
A positive for the club, however, is that they are yet to finish a game with no goals scored. This includes an early 5-0 victory against Whickham in an FA Cup replay, as well as a 4-1 victory against Ossett United.
No matter what way you look at us, or our opponents, there is no denying that Tuesday should bring a good night of football.
If you can’t make the game, there will be live match updates on our X (Twitter) page, so you’ll never be too far from knowing what is going on!
