The former South Shields loanee pens a one-year deal with the club.
Redcar Athletic are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of talented fullback, Bryan Taylor, following his exit from South Shields.
The 21-year-old pens a one-year deal with the club on the back of a hugely successful loan spell – one which saw him leave a popular figure when recalled towards the end of the season.
A product of South Shields’ youth academy, Bryan began his senior career on loan at fellow Northern League side Seaham Red Star.
He signed a professional deal with the Mariners in 2024, impressing on a number of appearances in National League North before arriving at the Hollou Sports Stadium in need of experience come January.
Bryan made 11 appearances for the Steelmen in just three months. He battled injury, scored just the once, but made a real impression on the Redcar faithful with his attitude and ability.
Now – as we look to embark on a new chapter in the Northern Premier League East – the young fullback pens a year-long deal to become our fifth addition of the summer.
His capture was particularly pleasing for First Team boss Carl Jarrett, who said: “Getting ‘Bry’ back to the club is fantastic.
“He had a great loan spell last season, and we’re delighted to get him on a contract full time with us.”
Welcome back to Redcar Athletic, Bryan. We’re happy to have you.
