Liam Jarvie becomes the third Redcar man to face the wrath of the fans in Ask the Steelmen.

A interview which could only be described as abnormal, Ask the Steelmen puts the power in YOUR hands, as members of the playing squad are pitted against a series of fan-submitted questions.

Third to take to the hot seat in the 2023/24 season was Liam Jarvie, a clinical goal-getter at the forefront of Forster’s attack.

The forward has featured a mere 12 times for the Steelmen since making the switch from Northern Premier League East side, Newton Aycliffe, contributing admirably in his four month stay.

Jarvie has found the net nine times in red and navy, including a sensational first-half hat-trick against Newcastle Benfield, supplementing his goalscoring with a further six assists.

We asked you to send in your questions for the ‘vertically challenged’ number nine, and here’s what he had to say…

What is your preferred position?

I would say upfront in a two, but I can play in any position along the front three as well.

What is your goal target for the season?

I don’t really set any targets for myself, but to score more than 20 again would be nice.

What motivates you?

Football wise? Winning and scoring doesn’t get much better!

Describe, in detail, your perfect breakfast?

Orange juice, a nice mocha, and a full English with white toast, and everything on.

What is your favourite cereal?

Got to be milk chocolate Krave.

What would be your last meal on death row?

Hot-shot parmo from The Ship Inn, definitely!

Who amongst the club is the worst dressed?

I’m honestly not sure, we will find out on Saturday on the team night out! A lot of people shout out Jack Norton for the Gym
King gear though…

Who in the squad would make the worst babysitter?

Joe Thompson, for sure! He’s ‘offit!’

There’s been quite a lot of questions about your height, Liam, any response?

I am 5ft 7 on a good day, I don’t think it’s that bad!

Your former Newton Aycliffe teammate, Liam Adamson, asks: what’s it like getting a bath in the sink?

Hahaha, not a bad one from the man we used to call ‘little weasel.’ He looks see-through bless him.

Congratulations on the new addition to the family, did it save you a lot of money knowing you could share clothes with the baby for the next few years?

Thanks a lot firstly, and secondly, she’s a girl, so unfortunately not.

Do you drive? If so, is your car specially modified so that you can reach the pedals?

I do drive, yes, and no, I can reach the pedals perfectly fine thanks!

And finally, who do you want to see face the social media onslaught next?

Nathan Guru! He dropped me right in this, so it’s his turn next!
