The Redcar boss spoke to Head of Media Ash Stone ahead of this evening’s game.
First Team Manager Carl Jarrett acknowledged the challenge posed by West Auckland Town, as the Northern League season continues with another tough encounter at Green Lane.
The boss praised his opposite number, Gary Forrest, for his efforts at the helm of the Durham outfit, arguing the Steelmen would have to be at their best to build on Saturday’s triumph.

Speaking to Ash Stone ahead of this evening’s second consecutive home bout, Carl Jarrett talked up the ability of West Auckland Town, commenting on the attitude his team needed to match to get something out of the game.
Redcar Athletic ran riot over the highly-fancied Kendal Town on Saturday, a brace from Brad Fewster and further strikes from Mark Anderson and Jack Blackford making for a 4-0 triumph, certainly tough to match this evening.
“I’m really looking forward to the game against West Auckland.” Carl Jarrett said.
“It’s going to be a tough one, against a team that I think will be right up the top of the table at the end of the season, fighting for silverware.”
“It’s going to be very difficult.
“It was a hard game last year, it’s going to be a hard game this year.”
“Gary (Forrest) has a good team there, so, like I said, we’re going to have to turn up like we did on Saturday, with the right attitude, and obviously try to play as good as that to get what we can out of the game.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back down to Green Lane, in front of what is hopefully a bumper crowd, and putting on a show if we can.”
