The midfielder becomes the Steelmen’s second new addition of the summer.
Redcar Athletic are thrilled to confirm the signing of Joseph Bartliff from fellow Northern Premier League side, Bishop Auckland.
The renowned midfielder becomes the second new face to put pen to paper this summer, linking up the Steelmen ahead of our debut season in the division.
Beginning his non-league journey with Billingham Town, Joseph – known affectionately as ‘JJ’ – made his name in the red and white stripes of our local rivals, Guisborough Town.
He called time on his four year stint at the King George V Stadium in favour of a move to Bishop Auckland in 2023.
It was with the Two Blues he lifted the Northern League trophy at Green Lane last season, since scooping the title of Supporters’ Player of the Season for his efforts in the Northern Premier League East.
‘JJ’ now brings a wealth of experience, energy, and enthusiasm to Redcar Athletic, impressing First Team boss Carl Jarrett with his ability for many years.
“JJ is a player I have been trying to get for a few years.” He said.
“I’m delighted he’s come to Redcar.
“He’s a box-to-box midfielder with bags of energy, and he has a keen eye for goal.”
We’re thrilled to have you onboard, ‘JJ’.
