The popular defender commits his near future to the club.
Redcar Athletic are pleased to confirm Danni Lay has penned a new deal with the football club.
The popular defender commits his future to the Steelmen for the remainder of the season, with the option to extend his stay for a further year during the summer.
Signed from Bishop Auckland in July, Danni quickly established himself as a fan-favourite, scooping the plaudits as Supporters’ Player of the Match on a number of occasions.
The defender not only impressed the Redcar faithful, but Carl Jarrett too, part of a nation-best backline credited with eleven clean sheets.
On capturing the services of Danni Lay for the rest of the campaign – subject to FA approval, Jarrett said: “It’s great news having Danni committed to the club.”
“He’s been superb since coming in to the club. Danni is a great lad, and an even better leader, on and off pitch.”
