Steelmen's official matchday programme recognised in Soccer Club Swap Shop Awards.
By the Sea, the official matchday programme of Redcar Athletic, has received national recognition in an end of season award listing.
The 32-page matchday magazine placed 28th nationally in the Soccer Club Swap Shop Awards, coming out on top of a number of professional clubs.
Designed and printed by FootiePrint and Digital, and edited by Head of Media Ash Stone, By the Sea debuted last July, offering a fresh take on the club’s existing matchday programme, Red Roar.
The popular magazine was deemed within the top 30 printed programmes across non-league football by Soccer Club Swap Shop, sharing the 28th spot with National League North duo, South Shields and Bishop Stortford.
Honoured to receive such recognition, Ash Stone thanked those who had purchased a copy of By the Sea throughout the season, challenging the club to go even further next year.
“I’ve loved working on the programme again this season.” He said. “I take a lot of pride in it, and so seeing people pick up a copy and enjoy it is so rewarding for me.”
“I would like to take the time to thank all of our contributors across the course of the year, and, of course, James from FootiePrint. His efforts are paramount to this success, and I cannot overstate his importance.
“I’d love for us to go ever better next season!”
Red Roar failed to place within the top 40 last season, instead scooping top spot within the Northern League.
