Our Under-23s need your support in the Terry May League Cup this Sunday.
Redcar Athletic Under-23s coach Mark Hathaway has urged support for his young side, as semifinal action returns to the hallowed turf at Green Lane.
The assistant boss has issued a plea to fans to back the Steelmen in the Terry May League Cup this weekend, a tough contest with Premier Division outlet The Woodman Arms all that stands between a place in a prestigious final.
Dealt penalty heartbreak in the WOODSmith Construction Sunday Cup semifinal just last month, manager Dave Marshall is keen for his side to go one further, and add a final appearance to a season already littered with success.
His coaching compatriot, Mark Hathaway, spoke of the importance of the fixture to both himself, and the young Steelmen, urging fans of the senior team to turn out and support the future of Redcar Athletic.
“Having lost our County Cup semifinal on penalties last month,” the assistant boss admitted, “the lads would love to make amends, and to get to the final of the Terry May Trophy.
“We know it’ll be a tough game against a Premier Division team, so we’d really appreciate any support at Green Lane, as we try and make the final.“
Our Under-23s’ Terry May League Cup semifinal will be contested on the playing fields surrounding Green Lane on Sunday 7th April, with entry free to all supporters.
Matters will begin at around 10:30am, and your support would be greatly appreciated.
