The forward will miss three games following a straight red card last Saturday.
Louis Johnson will miss the first of three games this afternoon as Redcar Athletic travel to Croft Park to face Blyth Spartans.
The forward was dismissed during our Emirates FA Cup clash with North Ferriby last weekend for an alleged elbow during an altercation.
In addition to the trip to Croft Park this afternoon, Louis will miss Wednesday’s visit of Heaton Stannington, and our Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round tie against local rivals Guisborough Town.
He’ll return to action against his former club, Bishop Auckland, in two weeks time.
PRE-MATCH PRESSER
The boss spoke to Club Media ahead of our league-opener against Blyth Spartans.
Louis will most likely be replaced in the side at Croft Park by a returning Curtis Round.
The boss confirmed the former Spartans man would once again be available in his Pre-Match Presser, crossing his fingers for an otherwise full contingent.
He said: “I should have Curtis back on Saturday.
“I’ll hopefully have a full squad and more to leave out next week. That’s what I wanted for this club. You need good competition for places at this level.”
