Redcar Athletic will feature in the Emirates FA Cup and Isuzu FA Vase in 2024/25.
The English Football Association (The FA) have today confirmed Redcar Athletic’s place in both the Emirates FA Cup and the Isuzu FA Vase for the 2024/25 football season.
The Steelmen will enter both competitions at the earliest stage, with the draw due to be made on Friday 5th July.
First to kick-off, the Emirates FA Cup Extra-Preliminary Round is due to take place on Saturday 3rd August, thus set to replace the club’s first away match, a local derby with Guisborough Town.
The Isuzu FA Vase begins three weeks later, the First Qualifying Round pencilled for Saturday 24th August, a blank weekend in the calendar.
Last season, the Steelmen suffered a disappointing, premature exit from the Emirates FA Cup, falling foul to a well-taken free kick from Tadcaster Albion’s Dan McDaid in the Extra-Preliminary Round.
A hat-trick from Isaac Walker guided Redcar passed the first hurdle in the Isuzu FA Vase, tournament favourites Silsden AFC eventually drawing a close to any lingering ambitions in the First Round Proper.
Please see the FA’s official statement for any further information.
