The fullback offered his thoughts on our Isuzu FA Vase Third Round tie.
Joe Taylor declared the Isuzu FA Vase a tough competition as Redcar Athletic gear up to welcome North Shields to the B&D Interiors Stadium.
The Robins are the sole victors of the competition yet to be eliminated, and come to the Redcar seafront having already beaten Athletic at the Daren Persson Stadium in September.
Speaking to Ash Stone, Joe Taylor admitted it would be a ‘tough’ contest, but one the Steelmen would be more than up to should they perform to the best of their ability.
Fans plea for support against North Shields
Excitement builds as Redcar Athletic get ready to take on the Isuzu FA Vase Third Round.
“The (Isuzu FA) Vase is tough, regardless who you play.” He said.
“It’s a big competition.
“North Shields are a good side, and we need to be at our best to get ourselves into the Fourth Round.”
Unfortunately for Redcar, the Isuzu FA Vase Third Round comes on the back of a blot on a previously impeccable home record.
The Steelmen were unbeaten in twelve on home soil, first defeated by Easington Colliery, then Shildon, and most recently Newcastle University.
“It’s nothing for us to worry about.” Joe offered.
“The lads are itching to get back at it after a little blip. We’ve been training well and spirits are high.
“The fans are always a massive factor when you’re at home.
“We’ve had a great following so far this season so it would be nice to have a big crowd tomorrow.”
