The title-winning fullback agrees terms at Green Lane.
Redcar Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of experienced fullback, James Risbrough, from Bishop Auckland.
The 31-year-old becomes the Steelmen’s fourth addition of the 2024/25 season, reuniting with former boss Carl Jarrett after ten years.
Hailing from nearby Stockton-on-Tees, James’ illustrious career goes far beyond the borders of Teesside, offering both a vast wealth of experience, and success.
Beginning his career with the Anchors, further spells at Spennymoor Town and Marske United prefaced a venture into the professional game in Sweden, Ytterhogdals and Ottersund both acquiring his services across a two-year period.
Upon returning to the UK, James clocked up a number of top local clubs, Stockton Town, Guisborough Town, Whitby Town and Bishop Auckland to name just a few.
A tall, agile, and aggressive fullback, with an eye for goal, the 31-year-old arrives at Green Lane with the Northern League title in hand, keen to go that extra mile to repeat such success as a Redcar man.
