Redcar Athletic are thrilled to confirm the loan signing of young Hartlepool United shot-stopper, Josh Mazfari.
The 19-year-old links up with Carl Jarrett’s squad on a season-long deal, becoming the sixth acquisition of a busy summer.
A highly-regarded number one with masses of potential, Josh makes the move from Hartlepool United to the Redcar seafront on a semi-permanent basis, set to stay with the Steelmen throughout the 2024/25 campaign.
First signing professional terms with Championship side Huddersfield Town, the 19-year-old excelled at various levels of the Terriers’ academy, impressing too on a pair of loan deals to Liversedge and Tadcaster Albion.
Making the permanent switch to Hartlepool just last season, Josh garnered further experienced in a loan move to title-unfortunates, Shildon, quickly establishing himself as a fan-favourite, and making a significant contribution to their promotion charge.
