Pontefract Collieries await tomorrow's victor in the Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round.
Redcar Athletic’s 2024/25 Emirates FA Cup journey begins in County Durham tomorrow, the Steelmen drawn to face Northern Premier League East outfit, Consett, at the Belle View Stadium.
The draw pits the victor of the Extra-Preliminary Round bout against Consett’s league compatriots, Pontefract Collieries, making for a tough path to the qualifying competition for Carl Jarrett’s men.

The Steelmen’s fourth venture into the world’s most prestigious domestic cup competition, victory over Consett tomorrow afternoon would mark only a second win in the Emirates FA Cup in the club’s short history.
Progression would see Redcar travel to Northern Premier League East outfit, Pontefract Collieries, in the Preliminary Round, the tie set to take place on Saturday 17th August.
Further Round dates come on Saturday 31st August, when the qualifying competition begins, Saturday 14th September, and Saturday 28th September.
The competition proper begins on Saturday 2nd November, when clubs from the EFL begin to enter.
Should Redcar Athletic’s Extra-Preliminary Round clash with Consett prove level after ninety minutes, the tie will be decided in a replay here at Green Lane on Tuesday 6th August, and the club’s scheduled trip to West Allotment Celtic postponed.
