Redcar Athletic are delighted to confirm the signing of exciting midfield man, Callum Guy.
The 25-year-old completes a move from Newcastle Benfield to link up with Carl Jarrett’s squad, and we thank the club wholeheartedly for their cooperation in this deal.
A product of South Shields’ youth academy, Callum boasts an impressive roster of north east non-league clubs in his short career to date.
The midfielder spent two seasons in National League North with Blyth Spartans, opting for a move to the Northern League to join Consett, and then Sunderland RCA.
Heritage Park came next, and a short stint at Bishop Auckland, before he settled with the Lions of Newcastle Benfield in late 2022.

A well regarded midfielder with a wand of a left boot, Callum has been on Carl Jarrett’s radar for some time.
The Redcar boss expressed his delight to see the 25-year-old put pen to paper with the Steelmen, adding: “I have seen Callum a good few times this season, and he has always impressed me.”
“I’m very happy to have him onboard for the rest of the season.”
