Four standout strikes, but only one can be crowned September’s greatest.
Redcar Athletic set the Northern League alight in September, surging back to the top of the table, and scoring some fantastic goals to show for it.
Netting nineteen in just seven games, we’ve whittled it down to four contenders for our September Goal of the Month. Good luck.

Option A
JACK BLACKFORD
vs North Shields
Perhaps the only positive to come from a dire evening north of the Tyne.
Trailing by three, Curtis Round picked out Jack Blackford on the right flank, and the midfielder unleashed a rocket, destined for the top corner the moment it left his boot.
Option B
OSCAR FLETCHER
vs Penrith
Pure Oscar Fletcher magic.
Redcar Athletic welcomed Penrith to Green Lane on the back of a first league defeat, and after 45 minutes – despite dominating – the scores were painstakingly level.
Enter Oscar Fletcher.
Option C
JOE TAYLOR
vs West Auckland Town
He only scores ‘worldies.’
Our August Goal of the Month winner is back for September, this time boasting a spectacular effort from open play.
Option D
MARK ANDERSON
vs Birtley Town
Okay, Mark is certainly partial to a ‘worldie’ too.
The midfielder took aim from deep in the attacking third, picking out the stanchion with some finesse.
