Popular central defender calls time on his Redcar career.
Redcar Athletic can confirm the departure of stalwart centre-half, Daryll Hall.
The Green Lane favourite last week offered his intention to follow the previous management, and today finalises a move to Northallerton Town.
A composed head in the dressing room, the 37-year-old offered much more than just his football during his time at the club.
Both steadfast and dependable, Daryll developed a reputation as a commanding presence in the heart of defence, donning the red and navy 23 times across his eleven month stay.
Saddened to see the back of Redcar, Daryll admitted the club was one of the finest he had represented in his illustrious career, praising both the playing squad and those in the background.
“I’m sad to be leaving the club.” He conceded.
“As I said, I’m going to follow the management team who brought me in. I think that’s the right thing to do.”
“It’s probably up there as one of the best clubs I have ever played for, and definitely one of the best set-ups.
“It’s the best group of lads I’ve ever played with too. I seriously think I’ve made some friends for life, and I’ll be stopping in touch for sure.
“Everyone around the club is an absolute diamond, and I wish them all the very best with their future plans, which I know they will succeed in.”
Redcar Athletic would like to place on record it’s sincere thanks to Daryll for his conduct and efforts whilst at the club, and wish him the very best both at Northallerton, and in the future.
Go well, Daryll.
