The German outfit fell victim to a tremendous Boro comeback.

Borussia Mönchengladbach Under21s – who trained at Green Lane on Tuesday evening – fell victim to a tremendous second half comeback in a Riverside thriller.

The German outfit lead at the half thanks to a pair of opportunistic finishes, Middlesbrough Under21s equipped to turn the match on its head in the dying embers.

Borussia Mönchengladbach would have gone top of their Premier League International Cup group with a win on Teesside, starting in fine form as Charles Herrmann drove home a simple opener.

Against the run of play, Winsley Boteli punished a defensive mistake, beating Tom Glover at his near post to complete a stellar first half.
