The midfielder left the field of play inside 20 minutes with a groin injury.
The latest in a long line of players subject to injury concerns, Assistant Manager Dave McTiernan confirmed Dale Hopson has suffered from a groin injury for a number of weeks.
Dale limped off to be replaced by Jack Harrison during the first half of Tuesday’s clash with Boro Rangers, McTiernan admitting the midfielder’s groin finally got the better of him.
“Dale’s been struggling with a groin injury since we came in.” McTiernan conceded.
“He’s played through the pain. We can’t fault him for that.
“Like I said, he’s tried to get out there. As you can see, we’re struggling for bodies to put out on the pitch at the minute.
“It looks as though his groin’s got the better of him today, and he’ll be out for a couple of weeks.”
