The Steelmen host Scarborough Athletic in the North Riding Senior Cup semifinals.
It’s a big night for Redcar Athletic, and for once, not in the Northern League.
Scarborough Athletic visit the B&D Interiors Stadium in the semifinals of the North Riding Senior Cup, a date at the Riverside Stadium (not confirmed) up for grabs.

WHO ARE YA?
Scarborough Athletic
The Scarborough Athletic who visit the B&D Interiors Stadium this evening have a relatively short – but incredibly successful – history, founded from the ashes of the original club in 2007.
The phoenix club adopted the colours, crest and motto of the late Scarborough FC, entering the football pyramid in the Northern Counties East League, but forced to ground-share outside of their home town in Bridlington.
Success came as early as 2009 for the regenerated Seadogs. Victory over Teversal secured the club promotion to the NCEL Premier Division, a rather poetic reversal of their first ever competitive fixture.

Come 2017, ten years on from the rebirth, Scarborough Athletic would finally return to their hometown, as the Flamingo Land Stadium opened its doors.
The Seadogs were then members of the Northern Premier League, bouncing around the regional divisions before scooping the title – and promotion to National League North – in 2022.
Victory over Guisborough Town sealed a further North Riding Senior Cup triumph that year, their semifinal expedition none other than a 3-1 win here in Redcar.
CURRENT FORM

The race for the Northern League title continues to heat up with just five games to go, but for at least one night, the Steelmen can put it to the back of their minds.
Form guide aside, Redcar Athletic are massive underdogs this evening. Scarborough Athletic may have seen a mixed bag of results this season, but their quality and stature is simply undeniable.
The Seadogs beat Hereford by a-goal-to-nil at the weekend, just four days on from a blistering five-goal demolition of Needham Market.

Redcar Athletic returned to winning ways after a blip against title-rivals Boro Rangers, goals from Curtis Round, Craig Gott and Oscar Fletcher sinking a spirited Northallerton Town.
PREVIOUS HISTORY
Scarborough Athletic last came to the B&D Interiors Stadium during their most successful season, clinching the Northern Premier League title, and the North Riding Senior Cup.
Isaac Walker offered Redcar a shock lead inside half an hour, but goals from James Cadman and Luca Colville booked the Seadogs a place in the final.
TEAM NEWS
Supporters will be relieved to learn there is only the one known concern this evening, as Joe Taylor remains doubtful following his injury against Boro Rangers.

Mark Anderson returned from suspension on Friday evening, as Kevin Burgess graced the field for the first time since October, following a long-term injury.
