The forward becomes the first new addition of our Northern Premier League era.
Redcar Athletic are delighted to confirm the signing of Louis Johnson following the expiration of his contract at Bishop Auckland.
The former Two Blues’ forward pens a one-year deal at the club, the first new face to do so ahead of our debut season in the Northern Premier League East.
A product of Newcastle United’s academy Louis’s first non-league endeavour came under the watchful eye of Carl Jarrett, then of Marske United.
Guisborough Town and Bishop Auckland followed for the clinical forward. Louis won the Northern League with the latter, joining the Steelmen with a full season under his belt in the Northern Premier League East.
He netted 16 goals in all competitions for the Two Blues last season.
A talented goal-getter, Louis’s addition to a first-rate strike force is a real statement of intent for the club.
A longtime admirer of the forward, boss Carl Jarrett said: “Louis is a lad I have worked with before. He’s a great lad and player.
“He has grown into a great forward, and is dangerous in and around the final third.
“I’m really looking forward to working with him again.”
Welcome to the Steelmen, Louis.
