A rampant Redcar Athletic Ladies left little to be desired, lashing TWELVE in an obliteration of South Park Rangers Belles.

Clinical forward Amy Smith ignited the rout, netting four in advance of the break.

Ellie Booth and Olivia Bullock each added a brace to the first half tally, as Hannah Springell and Farron McPherson rounded out a magnificent ten.

Bullock snatched a treble of her own with a neat finish as play resumed, with time for Hannah Springell to heap further misery on an ailing Rangers side.

Trailing a new formation, manager Dean McNamee was left pleased by an emphatic return.

Amy Smith struck Athletic’s noses in front inside the opening exchanges, offered far too much space, and taking the liberty to pick her spot to the goalkeeper’s left.

The clinical forward clocked her second not five minutes later, first to a loose ball on the flank, and on hand to tuck in the rebound.

Ellie Booth took the plaudits for Redcar’s third, catching the South Park number one off guard, having driven inside from out wide on the right.

The winger proved a whisker away from a brace of her own to settle a rambunctious opening ten minutes, drawing a fine stop with a curled effort bound for the stanchion.

By quarter of hour, Redcar had four: Ellie Booth again rewarded for her endeavour with another exquisite finish.

Twice rattling the woodwork in a frustrating period, Amy Smith dashed any concerns over consistency with a well-taken finish to claim the match ball.

Olivia Bullock latched on to an incisive pass down the right to add a spectacular sixth, before Hannah Springell showed due composure to negate the ‘keeper and slot into an open goal.

A ferocious effort from Olivia Bullock left little hope for a hapless Rangers’ number one, taking the tally to eight, as Farron McPherson drove through the heart of defence to strike a sensational ninth.

Bullock continued to shine as the clock ticked towards the half, splitting the defence with a spectacular incisive pass, leaving Amy Smith with the simple task of tucking the chance away.

Ten to the good as play resumed, Redcar took the second half in a slow first gear.

A one-on-one chance for Olivia Bullock bettered the Ladies’ record tally of ten during the current season, a richly deserved third for the forward, and a second match ball expensed..

Hannah Springell was left far too much space in a dangerous area, offering a simple touch to direct the ball between the shot-stopper’s legs and round out the scoring.

It’s not to say Redcar didn’t try to extend the arrears, as a deft flick from Amy Smith drew a smart save from the women between the sticks.

Ultimately, a medical incident drew the rampage to a close, as all were left concerned over a South Park Rangers Belles forward who collapsed to ground.

All at Redcar Athletic would like to wish the very best to the player involved, and were relieved to hear of her positive condition.

The Ladies are on the road next weekend, travelling to York to face York Railway Institute Ladies Reserves.
