The popular utility man is the latest name on our list of retentions.
Redcar Athletic are pleased to confirm Joe Taylor has agreed a deal to continue his stay at Green Lane into the 2025/26 season.
The midfielder-turned-fullback becomes the eighth Redcar man to commit his future to the club, following the likes of Olly Cann, Danni Lay and Mark Anderson.
Returning to the club for his second stint in the summer of 2024, Joe quickly rose to popularity as a makeshift fullback in the absence of Olly Cann.
He captured the imagination of the Redcar faithful with a number of world-class strikes, not least a pivotal free-kick against Shildon, and THAT goal against West Auckland Town.
Joe made 31 appearances during the course of the campaign – 15 of which from the bench – netting four goals and adding a further three assists.
As Redcar Athletic look to start a new chapter in the Northern Premier League East, the midfielder puts pen to paper to agree a new deal to see him remain in red and navy until the May of 2026.
News of his retention pleased First Team boss Carl Jarrett, who said: “I have watched Joe for years now, and I was really glad he got through this season consistently playing.
“He was very reliable in whatever position he got asked to play in, so I’m delighted that he’s staying on.”
More of the same, Joe!
